#PlayFootball #CoachFootball #RefFootball in 2016
WITH the 2016 Football Federation Victoria (FFV) outdoor football season in Victoria fast approaching, registrations for grassroots football are now officially open!
Which means that it's time to join more than 125,000 football participants and register to play, coach, referee or volunteer in Victoria.
Football is by far Australia's most popular sport for children aged 6-13, as found by recent Roy Morgan research. According to the research, 1.24 Million Australians played football in some form between July 2014-June 2015.
In Geelong, the growth rate in 2015 was a record high of 16.88%, eclipsoing not only the state average, but also the national growth rate, making Geelong the No. 1 growth region for football in Australia!
That number is set to increase in 2016 with an anticipated spike in growth in the Women's/Girl's game, as well as the introduction of the Men's Over 35's Masters' coimpetition for the first time ever!
Go to MyFootballClub to register with the secure, easy-to-use online system for all participants.
Play Football Ambassadors Stephanie Catley (Matildas and Melbourne City FC) and Kosta Barbarouses (New Zealand and Melbourne Victory FC) are leading the push to further grow The Beautiful Game in Victoria.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
