WEEK 1: Singapore Supras handle AMK in season opener
In an excellent atmosphere this Sunday at the Delta Sports Arena, Singapore Supras made a statement in its first PRO-AM SBL game of the season, downing last seasons’ finalist AMK Bravehearts 77-68.
Mell Swafford scored 29 points to pace the Supras who also had Thomas Klemm finish with 12 points, while Mitch Folkoff had 11 points and 10 rebounds in victory. Tre Brewer led AMK with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 2 steals and Ding Loon Tay scored 12, but more was expected from others. Supras set the pace early and jumped to an amazing 29-9 first quarter. After the break AMK increased the pace, Brewer started to connect, but the final score is as close as they got.
