At their AGM, Holroyd Parramatta was proud to officially announce the appointment of the highly experienced Luke Jarjoura as Senior Playing Coach.
Luke spoke at the meeting and stated that he has been greatly impressed by the Goannas young playing group over the last few seasons who, he believes have enormous potential to succeed in Division 1 in 2016. Luke stated that he will leave no stone unturned in his quest to lead the Goannas successfully back into the finals and challenge for the Premiership. Luke brings enormous experience to the club having played at the Swans, Ainslie in the ACTAFL and Southport in the NEAFL, as well as Sturt and Port Adelaide in the SANFL. He has been a John Lussick medallist, named in 3 competition teams of the year, been leading goal kicker a number of times and was a Premiership playing coach at Balmain in 2014.
The Goannas 2016 campaign got underway on Wednesday, December 2 when Coach Jarjoura called the players of all grades together to Goanna Park (Gipps Rd Oval) Greystanes at 6.30 pm for their first run. He plans to train each Wednesday until Christmas before resuming in mid- January.
All existing and new players are welcome.
