NOTICE: Geelong SC seeking Juniors’ coaches for 2016 season.
GEELONG SC is a community club with over 200 registered players in the Geelong Region. We are seeking expressions of interest for a number of coaching positions for 2016 for our Small Sided Games and Youth teams.
The club is based at Stead Park, Norlane and is about to commence the redevelopment of its Clubrooms and Changeroom facilities. A key feature of the development is dedicated women’s change rooms for playing members and community to enjoy.
Our Senior teams play in the Zagame’s Men's State League Two (North-West) competition and have secured the services of Steve Laurie and Toby Patterson as key figureheads to topple the this year’s efforts and make our way into State League One.
Steve Laurie and Toby Patterson come well credentialed and have professional experience and will also be involved in junior player development.
Expressions of interest are sought for the following coaching roles:
• Under 7 Boys/Girls
• Under 9 Boys/Girls
• Under 11 Boys/Girls
• Under 12 Boys
• Under 13 Boys
• Under 15 Boys
• Under 17 Boys
Applicants will need to demonstrate the following values:
• A player development ethos
• A methodical and organised approach
• An understanding of the Geelong Soccer Club ethos
Successful applicants will be motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team. Licenced Coaching certifications would be preferable.
Successful applicants MUST have Working With Children cards.
Successful applicants will have the benefit of coaching courses funded by the club and, where applicable, appropriate compensation.
