2015 has seen a great amount of history made in the Female Football space, however today history has been made in a whole new way.
Emma Gibson (SANFL) and Caitlin Brady (SAWFL) met with the team at the SANFL History Centre today to discuss the inclusion of Female Football within the history centre and future public exhibitions.
Christine Halbert is the history centre coordinator, and her knowledge and passion for football in general will allow for great opportunities to document and display many great historical items relating to the past of Womens Football. Thanks to Chris and her great volunteers (Roger, Malcolm & John) we have been provided with an opportunity to take part in providing items for the upcoming public exhibition planned for 2017.
Emma and Caitlin have now begun the process of forming a Women's Football History Committee, and are looking for assistance from the public to help document our important past as we head into an exciting future.
If you have any photos, items, articles, videos, etc relating to Women's Football in South Australia please contact caitlin@adelaidefootball.com.au
We are also looking for expressions of interest from people who may be interested in forming a part of the history committee. Please email emma.gibson@sanfl.com.au with your expression of interest.
