City Add Park To Squad

Brisbane City have lured former Bankstown City winger Jason Park back to Brisbane for their PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland 2016 campaign.
The 22-year-old built a reputation as an impact player at Bankstown City last season in the PlayStation 4 NPL New South Wales, and becomes the ninth announced member of City's 2016 squad.
He previously spent the 2014 season with Brisbane Premier League outfits Ipswich Knights before a mid-season switch to Lions FC.
Despite being born in the South Korean capital of Seoul, Park was raised in Brisbane and said he is eagerly anticipating taking the field for City in 2016.
“For me Brisbane City is a big club in Queensland. They play some great quality football and they have some good facilities for the development of young players like me,” Park explained.
“I think this club is really looking forward to the future and is aiming for bigger and better things.”
Park stressed he sees the upcoming season as a development opportunity and says he has no pre-conceived notions of his role within the City set-up at this stage.
“I am not an individual player – I am a team player. I want to play as part of the team and I will help as much as I can and just get involved.”
Park added that he had sounded out his Bankstown City teammates about new City coach John Kosmina, including former Socceroos and Hyundai A-League stars Michael Beauchamp and Dean Heffernan.
“I know about John Kosmina and he is one of the top coaches in Australia and previously coached in the A-League.”
“My teammates at Bankstown said a lot of positive things about him and I am looking forward to learning and developing and helping City achieve good things,” Park concluded.
Sources at the club have also confirmed that Curran Ferns will not be returning to the squad for next year.
