As all clubs are aware there is a new system in place this season for generating match day teamsheets and indeed for providing the match results to the league.
This season a team sheet DOES NOT have to be signed by each individual player and on field official who participate in the match.
HOWEVER the Team Manager must print his or her name, and then sign his or her name on the computer generated team sheet and hand the club's copy of this team sheet to the umpires at the start of the half time break.
The Team Manager's name and signature verifies that the players listed were the only ones that participated in the game and that each player wore the jumper number listed beside his name. His or her signature also verifies that the on field officials listed were the only ones that took the field and if required were suitably accredited.
The Team Manager needs to be aware of the legal ramifications and SFL sanctions should it be found that a team sheet was falsely supported by the Team Manager's name and signature.
Each team's teamsheet that contains the Team Manager's signature is to be forwarded to the SFL by the field umpires along with the other required paperwork from the match.
There will be further information added to this message from time to time in regard to procedures for compiling teamsheets and dealing with the matchday results on-line, so please keep in touch with the SFL web site and this message in particular.
