The Tatura Football Netball Club has finalised its Football coaching appointments for the 2016 season with the appointment of Jamason Daniels as joint under 18 coach with current senior player Aiden Maher. Whilst Daniels will lead the Bulldogs senior team into the 2016 season he will share the role of under 18’s coach with Maher in a move that is sure to attract the interest of every young footballer in the greater Tatura area.
Daniels experience at AFL level with the Western Bulldogs and will present Tatura’s youngsters with an opportunity to learn from one of the Goulburn Valley’s most progressive coaches.
The Bulldogs have also moved quickly to reappoint popular playing coach Steve Beale as its reserves coach for the 2016 season. Beale who is a fitness fanatic played 3 senior games last season is looking to capitalise on the enthusiasm created at the club by its recent recruitment campaign.
The club has also moved to implement its policy of a “One Club Community” and has brought its Junior body under the umbrella of the senior club. The club proposes to introduce the position of Director of Junior Football to its board at the Special General Meeting to be held in early December, who will coordinate the operation of junior football in the district.
Former Bulldogs premiership players Jim Pyke and Peter Trevaskis have been appointed to coach the under 16’s and 14’s respectively. Whilst former players Glenn Walker and Nathan Saddlier have been appointed as coaches of the under 12’s and 10’s.
The Bulldogs have set themselves to lift the performance across the club and intend to concentrate on the development of their youth. The appointment of Daniels is an ideal way to commence their new journey.
