The Darling Downs team were unstoppable over the 4 days of competition winning all 4 games to not only be crowned the division 2 champions for the second straight year but also defeating metropolitan region Brisbane North and division 1 side North Queensland along the way.
Day 1. The girls would have to wait until a delayed 7pm start to open their campaign but the result was worth the wait with the Demons dominating possession to record an emphatic 18.15.123 victory over Townsville 0.0.0

The Darling Downs finished the carnival on top of the overall ladder with a greater percentage than division 1 winners Gold Coast. Demons spearhead Jayde Struths finished the carnival as the competition leading goal kicker with 13 games from the 4 games played while on baller Alice Mason was awarded the DD MVP for her consistent form over the 4 days.
From here the girls anxiously wait for the naming of the Queensland academy squad that will no doubt feature a strong contingent of Darling Downs players after their dominance during the 4 day championships.
