NEWS: GRFC leagues’ Best & Fairest and Golden Boot winners announced

FOOTBALL Federation Victoria today announced the Best & Fairest award recipients of all the 2015 GRFC Senior and Junior competitions, as well as the Golden Boot winners for the four Senior competitions.

 Highlighting just how closely fought this year’s Men’s Division One competition was, a three way tie for the Best & Fairest award eventuated with Barwon’s Oliver Hunniford taking out the top prize, along with Geelong Rangers duo, Ben Noble and Scott Davison.

 In Men’s Division Two, Andrew Longo from the newly crowned premiers Bellarine Sharks AFC took out the Best & Fairest award, while Corio Bay SC’s Jason Le Fevre made history by capturing back to back Best & Fairest awards in Division Three.

In the Women’s competition, veteran Surfside Waves utility Cath Sattler was awarded the top prize for her brilliant season with the first year Ocean Grove outfit

The Golden Boot Winners for the respective Senior Men’s competitions included Drysdale’s Louis Stockman (Div 1), Bell Park’s Cagdas Ozay (Div 2) and John Reaney from Barwon SC (Div 3), while Deakin Ducks sharpshooter, Madeleine Lee Gow, took out the Golden Boot award for the Women’s Division.

The Best and Fairest winners of all the Boys’ and Girls’ Junior divisions were as follows:

Boys’ Under 12 – Noa Skoko (Elcho Park Cardinals FC)

Boys’ Under 13 – Samuel Wyeth (Surf Coast FC)

Boys’ Under 15 – Patrick McKenna (Surf Coast FC)

Boys’ Under 17 – Habib Shakouri (Corio SC) and Charles Breen (Surf Coast FC)

Girls’ Under 13 – Jasmine Kenyon (Lara SC)

Girls’ Under 16 – Caelli Wood (Kardinia International College)
