Redlands United are determined to make their mark in their return to PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Women’s competition in 2016.
The club recently announced trial dates for their reborn PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Women’s team and a range of incentives to lure talented players to the club.
Last year, the club was forced to drop out of the competition's inaugural season prior to the opening round, however the Red Devils are determined to re-assert themselves in the state’s elite women’s competition in 2016 after previous successes in Brisbane-based community leagues.
Club General Manager Martin Hampson believes the club’s return to the top division provides female footballers in the region the opportunity to step up into a highly competitive environment and further their development.
“The level of football talent in the Redlands community is remarkable and we want to invite these local talents to help build a legacy for budding female footballers,” Hampson said.
“Players will have their playing fees fully funded for the season on top of a supplied training kit, sponsored playing strip and access to premium training fields.”
“We are in the process of talking to a number of coaches invested in building a legacy of female development at the club,” Hampson added.
Redlands Technical Director Matt Chandler will oversee upcoming trials while the club finalises appointments to the Women’s coaching staff.
