Inspirational midfielder Mat Biggins will again be a force for Brisbane City in PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland 2016 after re-signing with the club.
Biggins has been a constant presence for City in the past three campaigns, amassing 60 appearances for the club in PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland.
Originally hailing from the English city of Leeds, the 30-yaer-old said he was excited to return for his fourth PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland campaign with the club under new coach John Kosmina.
“He was one of the big factors, but I was sort of planning on staying anyway because I like the club and I know a lot of people around there,” Biggins explained.
He added that there was plenty of positivity within the club for next season with pre-season training to start in coming weeks.
“It’s pretty exciting at the club at the minute. With John Kosmina signing big things are expected to happen.”
“Hopefully bringing John in will attract a few more players and help us push for the title this year.”
Despite primarily playing in the centre of the park, Biggins has also displayed significant versatility in the City formation in recent seasons - at times filling in as a central defender and as an extra striker.
However, he said he will wait and see what role Kosmina has planned for him in the upcoming campaign.
“I’m getting a bit older now so I see myself as a defensive midfielder but I do like to get forward as well, but it really depends on where the coach plays me,” Biggins concluded.
