NAGAMBIE v TALLYGAROOPNA
Minor premier and third placed Tallygaroopna have put the score on the board in the finals to face off for the A grade crown.
This should be an absolute cracker of a game; especially if there last clash is anything to go by.
Only two goals separated on that cold winter’s day in June.
It was the closest any side has got to Nagambie.
The Lakers last lost in May to Avenel.
Since then they have taken all before them under Abby Misti.
The first year coach has been outstanding.
She has had plenty of help from the likes of Caitlyn McPhee, Sarah Theobald and Katie Sullivan.
Tallygaroopna has also enjoyed a fantastic year under new coach Julie Telford.
Telford has fitted beautifully and coupled with the likes of Bree Giles and Fiona Down, the Redlegs’ have made it all the way to the grand-final.
Tallygaroopna has played continuously during the finals, with a gritty win over Merrigum, an emphatic victory over Stanhope and a commanding performance to end Avenel’s aspirations.
Nagambie has played the one final where it proved too good for southern neighbour Avenel a fortnight ago to go straight into the big dance.
Rest assured that this game will go the distance, and both teams will be eager to get off to a flying start to settle the early nerves.
Congratulations and good luck to all the teams that have qualified for the lower grades grand finals today.
