If you've been longing for more women's footy now that the season is over, head down to Adelaide Airport Stadium (1 Meyer St, Torrensville) tomorrow (Saturday 10th October) to see the 2015 SAWFL Open Women's Division 2 Premiers, Adelaide University, take on the Central Australian Pinktails from 2pm. It is set to be a great showcase of women's football!
The Central Australian Pinktails and their male football side, the Central Australian Redtails, will be travelling to Adelaide to promote their program, the Redtails Right Tracks Program in Central Australia, as part of the inaugural Around the Campfire in Adelaide concert which will now be held at The Gov in Hindmarsh on 10th October.
Around the Campfire is an Adelaide based not for profit organisation committed to helping community groups and individuals to make a difference and improve Indigenous health and literacy across Australia. Around the Campfire raises money through events and promotional activities.
Around the Campfire in Adelaide at The Gov will feature Carus Thompson Band from Fremantle, Jacinta Price from Alice Springs, and Adelaide artists Caper and The B-Sharps. Tauondi College from Port Adelaide will perform Kaurna cultural ceremony and dance during the night, and Marra Dreaming from Salisbury will display Aboriginal artworks.
The event is proudly supported by the University of Adelaide and Wirltu Yarlu Aboriginal Education Centre, Flight Centre, City of Port Adelaide Enfield, The Advertiser, Arts SA, and the Port Adelaide Football Club.
Head down to the Around the Campfire concert at The Gov after the women's football game and see both women's teams presented on stage during the night. Doors will open at 7pm and it is an 18+ event. Tickets are $30 available through Oztix at http://aroundthecampfire.oztix.com.au
