Moreton Bay United Technical Director Salvatore Sottile has announced he will end his tenure with the club at the conclusion of the PlayStation® 4 National Premier Leagues season.

Sottile served as the club’s Technical Director for the first three years of their involvement in PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland after four previous years with closely affiliated community club Albany Creek Excelsior.

The announcement comes just days before the club makes its debut on the national stage in the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series against Edgeworth Eagles.

A statement issued by Sottile said the Moreton Bay United Committee had informed him his services would not be retained for the 2016 campaign.

Sottile thanked the coaches, staff, players and parents who assisted him in guiding the technical development at the club.

"I would like to thank all the staff and coaches for the amazing results they have achieved over the years of working with me at the club,” Sotille said.

“To work at such a level is about time, dedication and following a strategy that is implemented through years of success as both a top team coach and a Technical Director.”

He acknowledged the recent success of the Senior Men’s side, who claimed the Premiership-Championship double this season.

''I am so proud and wish to again acknowledge the top team’s Premiership and Championship and look forward to them achieving a great result within the NPL National Playoffs - to get this far was unexpected by both myself and our teams and so to see this is amazing.”

Sottile’s statement concluded, “I wish the Technical Directorship and new system well, and hope they continue to build on the successful framework I leave behind as TD.”

Moreton Bay United sources have confirmed they have identified a replacement Technical Director but an announcement will not be forthcoming until after the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series.
