One young SWQ Thunder star is in the running to win $5,000 simply by showing off his silky skills in the #PS4TrickShot Challenge.
Thunder junior Kodi Bailey, 13, scored a new PS4 console for uploading the most creative attempt in Round 2 of PlayStation Australia’s monthly challenge.
Kodi’s winning entry, which means he is now in the draw to claim the major cash prize, involved some scenic exploration of Toowoomba, as explained by dad and co-opted camera man Callan.
“It was up on the top of the Table Top Mountain, which is about a 20-25 minute trek up the hill,” Callan said.
“We took a couple of backpacks and balls and headed up there. Luckily it was a nice clear day.”
Kodi successfully entered the competition by uploading his efforts to Instagram, tagging @PlayStationAU and using the #PS4TrickShot hashtag.
Having also helped SWQ claim the monthly $1,000 prize by adding the club’s #GoThunder hashtag, he is now making the most of his brand new PS4 console.
“He loves FIFA, that’s the big one the boys are all playing,” said dad Callan.
“When they’re not out kicking the ball they get on the PlayStation and have a go at it.”
However, with Challenge 3 now open for entries, Callan anticipates spending many more hours behind the camera.
“Kodi will keep doing it. As long as there is something going on he’ll do it,” he said.
“He’s interested in anything to do with football so whatever comes up he’ll have a crack at it.”
