The Round 16 Women’s Rising Star nominee is Telecia Brown from Macquarie University.
Telecia joined the team as a first year student at Macquarie University. Telecia is on a scholarship at the Uni and home is Darwin NT. She had not played the game prior to arriving at the club and comes with a basketball background.
Telecia has spent time playing as either a forward or in the ruck and has fitted in very well with the team. In fact, Telecia's first touch for the club was a mark at full forward and first kick was a goal! From that moment she has continued to learn and improve and has a competitive streak that will allow her to continue that growth. She has been easy to coach, being prepared to listen and try different things.
Macquarie University Football Club looks forward to having "T" as part of our club while she continues her studies at the University.
