The Bombers have beaten the Roos twice this season (rounds 1 & 6) but were pushed hard in both encounters. Both sides have been struck hard with injury in the second half of this season and have fallen well behind competition front runners Dalby and the Toowoomba Tigers.
Coolaroo however will be bolstered by the return of key personnel for this final with the possible inclusions of Krautz, McCormack and Hose all of whom were absent in last week’s loss to Dalby. Krautz and Hose have been the chief destroyers up forward for Coolaroo this season booting 67 goals between them and will be a welcome return to a team that didn’t register a point in last week’s game.
The Bombers will be without state player Chloe Macdonald and rookie sensation Tammy Stower who are both on the medium – short term injured list. The black and red will need to find a way to quickly put last week’s loss to the Tigers behind them and find a way to hit the scoreboard more frequently. They have genuine scoring weapons in Tarpencha, Mooka and Richardson and when you add the silky skills of Shaleise Law to the mix you do have some genuine scoring weapons. Inside player Savanna Ranford will also be very important in this clash as she wins a large majority of contested ball and tackles with ferocity.
Best of luck to all involved.
