Benalla’s Pat Robinson is a super talent and testament of that is his ability to hold his place in a very strong senior team which has not lost since the end of May.
And not hold his place for two or three weeks.
Robinson has not missed a match since making his debut against Mooroopna six weeks ago.
The 18-year-old says he has been pleasantly surprised to get the opportunity to play seniors during this rich vein of form for the club.
He could also be considered the club’s good luck charm – he is yet to taste defeat as a senior player.
Robinson says the close victories of the past two rounds are going to give the team plenty of confidence heading into September.
“If was to get tight in a final late in a game we now know we can win the close ones, especially if we were to confront Rochester,” he said.
The talented midfielder/wingman has played all his football at the club, since starting as a junior.
He has played two years in the under 18s and rates the premiership of last year with his close friends as the highlight of his career.
Robinson says he has a simple goal for the remainder of the season.
“I’m hoping to hold my spot and to do that I need to play some pretty good football,” he said.
“I’m really looking forward the opportunity to hopefully playing against Seymour and Euroa because these teams are right up there and in contention.”
The youngster remains eligible for thirds still.
