Analysis: The Bombers are looking to claim their third premiership in a row and after an early season loss against Western Wolves, they have been the dominant side in 2015. Will face fellow contenders Newtown and Western Wolves in the final three rounds and will get a week off in Round 16.
Prediction: Have sewn up top stop and will look to send a message to the competition in the final three weeks.
Newtown
Currently: 2nd
The Run Home: Sydney University (H), Western Wolves (A), Macquarie University (H)
Analysis: The Breakaways benefited the most from Balmain Dockers exit picking up some quality players for 2015 and they have improved to a point where they are now premiership contenders. A big game this week against top side Sydney University is the perfect opportunity to put the rest of competition on notice.
Prediction: A tough run home will see them drop back to third place.
UNSW/ES
Currently: 3rd
The Run Home: BYE, Wollongong (A), Southern Power (A)
Analysis: Last year’s grand finalists are once again premiership contenders. Away games to Wollongong and Southern Power are potential percentage boosters.
Prediction: After this week’s bye, the Stingrays will comfortably win their last two and finish second.
Western Wolves
Currently: 4th
The Run Home: Macquarie University (H), Newtown (H), Sydney University (A)
Analysis: After missing finals in 2014, the Wolves look to be destined for September action after a much improved year. They will be look to grab at least two wins in the final three weeks and if they can win all three, they are still a chance for a top two spot.
Prediction: Will win their two home games but drop the final round and remain in fourth spot.
Macquarie University
Currently: 5th
The Run Home: Western Wolves (A), Southern Power (H), Newtown (A)
Analysis: The Warriors would say they have had an OK year in 2015. They have defeated the sides below them but have not been competitive with the sides in the top four. Will want to end the season on a good note and the Round 16 matchup with Southern Power will be their Grand Final.
Prediction: Will claim a win over the Power and finish fifth.
Southern Power
Currently: 6th
The Run Home: Wollongong (H), Macquarie University (A), UNSW/ES (H)
Analysis: The Power have a relatively favourable draw in the run home with winnable games against the Saints and the Warriors. They will be aiming to win both those games to move up to fifth.
Prediction: A tough first year in the Division One competition and will finish the year in sixth.
Wollongong
Currently: 7th
The Run Home: Southern Power (A), UNSW/ES (H), BYE
Analysis: Its been a tough year for the Saints only claiming the one win back in Round 4. The Women’s Division Two Grand Final rematch of 2014 this weekend will be the Saints most important match in the run home.
Prediction: A difficult year for the Saints and will finish with the wooden spoon.
