The Round 3 Women’s Rising Star nominee is Sharni Collins from Gosford.
2015 is Sharni's first season in AFL, coming from a background in Soccer. She has a great commitment to training and has steadily improved in terms of her skill execution and game play. Making her debut in round 1, she has proven to be very resilient and is one of only 5 Wildcats to have played every game this season.
Originally playing off half-back, Sharni has developed into an attacking half-forward and over the last month or so has played a crucial part in Gosford's winning run. She has kicked 3 goals in the last few weeks and has been amongst the best on ground several times this season.
Sharni will continue to improve her game understanding and with more games should develop into a key position player, or even be able to run through the midfield.
