The Round 13 Women’s Rising Star nominee is Gabrielle Ferreira from Macquarie University.
Gabby, still at 17 years of age, has been one of the Warriors most consistent performers in 2015. The young midfielder has really flourished in her first year of senior football.
Gabby uses her run and carry to great affect and has spent time in both the forward and backline in her inaugural season. She made her debut in Round 1 this year against Newtown and showed she can contribute straight away being named in her sides best players. Since that game, Gabby has been named in the best 6 times from 10 games and has kicked two goals so far this season.
Macquarie University are confident that Gabby will keep improving her game to become one of the stars of the competition and be a great presence around the club.
