Number in last years count: N/A as in another league
Analysis:
Who said there isn’t any good local talent in AFL Sydney? Jack Dimery is one of the most talented Sydney Juniors running around in the local competition graduating as a Baulkham Hills junior to play over 100 senior games with his beloved Eagles.
Joining the Eagles in 2009 as a sixteen year old, Dimery made an immediate impression playing in the 2010 Grand Final win, a memory he rates as his fondest to date. Jack also rates the 2011 Grand Final where he was named the Rod Podbury Medallist as a special moment when the club completed the ‘three-peat’ and having reached 18 years of age was able to ‘celebrate with the boys’.
Dimery is a ball magnet, regularly racking up over 40 possessions this year. We are even told he racked up over 50 touches last weekend in the Eagles’ demolition of Western Suburbs which is mid boggling. He has an extremely accurate left foot kick and is a good size, hence is equally equipped in the air and for ground ball gets. While his best work is done playing an outside midfield role, he is extremely versatile being able to play a rebounding halfback role and does love to get forward and averages just below one goal a game this year.
A loyal servant to his club, the fact that he sits at number 5 in the count shows the depth of the league currently and ‘JD’ would be one of those players any club would love to have on their roster. Surprisingly he slips under some opposition sides guard due to the talented roster around him but once that must be closely guarded.
We’re predicting a big finish to the season for this Eagle!
