7. Paul Bevan
Club: Western Suburbs
Position: Utility
Previous Clubs: Sydney Swans (2004-11), Perth (2012-14)
Number in last years count: N/A as in another league
Analysis:
In a disappointing season, Bevan has been a shining light. The former Swans premiership player (2005) rejoined the Magpies as a playing assistant coach in the biggest coup of the off-season.
While it hasn’t turned into success for the Magpies on the field, the 30 year old has done his best plugging a number of holes across the ground. He showed his potency as a forward in the clash against the UTS Bats a fortnight ago where he kicked 10 goals.
Paul has just returned to Sydney after three years playing in the WAFL as Perth captain as well as being vice-captain of the WA side. While not overly tall at 184cm, he has noted football nous and a tough edge which he was renowned for in the AFL.
