Victory’s 2015 Gala Day to be held in Southern Hub
MELBOURNE Victory’s eagerly anticipated Gala Day/KFC Road Show will this year be staged in the Southern Hub on Sunday the 23rd of August.
Confirmed earlier this week by the Victory’s Community Football Manager Jamie Monteith, the massive football carnival day will be hosted by Surf Coast FC at its impressive Banyul Warri Reserve in North Torquay.
“We are very excited to be bringing the Melbourne Victory experience to the junior players of the greater Geelong region,” Monteith said.
“After a huge and very successful year, the Melbourne Victory players are understandably in high demand and I am happy to announce that the champions of Australian domestic football will again be coming to Geelong very shortly.
In response to the news, the Southern Hub Miniroos Coordinator, Paul Gilmore, was an understandably happy man.
“We are ecstatic to have such positive football role models give up their time to mentor and spend time with our junior players here in Geelong,” said Gilmore.
“We are also looking forward to having an opportunity to showcase the junior talent that Geelong football is currently producing,” he concluded.
