8. Stuart Turner
Club: East Coast Eagles
Position: Midfield
Previous Clubs: Pennant Hills 2010-11, Westbrook Juniors
Number in last years count: N/A as in another league
Analysis:
Another Eagle makes the top 10 in Stuart Turner and he is probably unlucky not to go higher in the count if it wasn’t for injuries curtailing his season.
A foot injury kept him from a certain representative berth and a number of subsequent games and then a concussion in the first quarter of last weekend’s game against St George makes it look like he’s kicked a black cat.
The now 20-year old has taken his game to a whole new level in 2015 having come to the Eagles in 2013 with pedigree having represented the Greater Western Sydney’s NEAFL affiliate in 2011 and 2012 under a GWS GIANTS Scholarship. His game sense is testament to his dedication to training, his work ethic and maturity. At 185cm and around 85kg, he is the perfect build of a modern day midfielder.
The Swans supporter started his football career at the tender age of 4 with Westbrook Juniors.
While the Eagles have depth all over the park, Turner being fit is an important cog in the sides premiership aspirations.
