University of Queensland FC Women's Goalkeeping Coach Dani Harbot has been invited to coach at an upcoming Football Federation Australia (FFA) National Goalkeeping Camp in Canberra.

The camp, which will be held at the Australia Institute of Sport later this month, will see Harbot work with FFA National Goalkeeping Coach Tony Franken and some of Australia’s finest young female goalkeepers in a coaching capacity.

Harbot, who in addition to coaching also plays as goalkeeper for UQFC's PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland Senior Women's side, recently attended a FFA Level 1 Goalkeeping Course in Brisbane and said she was delighted with the invitation.

“It is a great opportunity for me to attend the AIS and further develop my knowledge by working with and alongside some very talented players and coaches,” Harbot said.

“I learnt a lot from Tony Franken during my FFA Goalkeeper licence so I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to learn more from him and hope that I can continue my development over the coming years.”

Craig Pilon, UQFC’s PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues (NPL) Technical Director, was also excited by the opportunity.

“Dani has been excellent since coming to the club, she is currently working with all our junior and senior female goalkeepers as well as juggling her own training commitments and work,” he explained.

“She is a great role model for the younger girls and this opportunity is a great reward after her recent attendance at the FFA Level 1 goalkeeping course.”

“We hope this opportunity will allow her to continue her coaching development and everyone from the club wishes her well.”

Harbot will be in action this weekend as UQFC Women seek to sure up their place in the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensalnd Senior Women top six this weekend against Palm Beach SC.
