15. Jamie Vlatko
Club: East Coast Eagles
Position: Centre Half Forward
Previous Club: Glenelg (SANFL) 01-04, Norwood (SANFL) 05-09
Number in last years count: N/A as in another league
Analysis:
Vlatko is arguably the best Centre Half Forward in AFL Sydney and has claims to be higher up this list given his pedigree.
He was a boon recruit for the Eagles back in 2010 after dominating the SANFL with Glenelg (2003-04) and particularly with Norwood where he played 85 senior games and kicked 168 goals (including 2007 where he averaged three goals a game).
The 31 year old was a central part of two of the club’s premiership three-peat in 2010 and 2011. In 2011, he was the Stan Milton Medallist with 78 goals. He was Club Champion in 2011 and 2012.
Fast forward to today, he is averaging two goals a game and headlines a dangerous forward line with his work ethic, ability to mark and obviously his appetite for a goal. He has played over 250 senior games and kicked over 500 goals. You would be hard pressed to find a better brother combination in AFL Sydney let alone community football anywhere with his brother, and club captain- Jon also an elite player over a long period.
