19. Alex Wynn
Club: St George
Position: Utility
Number in last years count: -
Analysis:
Wynn caused some debate among the panel as to his eventual place amongst the top players in the AFL Sydney competition. An unassuming character, he regularly gets under the opposition’s guard with his no-fuss approach to the game.
The Bangor junior has been a consistent performer since his debut as a 16 year-old in Premier Division in 2011. Playing mainly as a forward in the early half of his Premier Division career where he averaged 1.5 goals a game, a move to the midfield signalled less goals in 2014 but more appearances in the best players, and was one of the best in the Senior Representative side that year. He backed up his rep selection last year with a starting role again in the 2015 sides’ narrow win over AFL Canberra.
Taller than you think and with a raking left foot, Wynn has been more dangerous in attack this year and uses the ball well both by hand and foot.
The count so far:
20. Tom Larby (UTS)
