Back from a nasty streak of injuries, the man everyone calles Bully hopes to add to his single senior premiership after "missing out on a few" along the way.
The 31 year old played his first game of the season in their loss to Port Douglas last Saturday, a knee complaint in the off season keeping him off the track for far longer than expected.
That followed a hamstring injury that limited his impace late last season with the Cutters ultimately missing the grand final despite finishing the regular season in top of the ladder.
The cutters lost grand finals in 01, 02, 05, 06, 08 and 09 with the 01 and 05 flags decided by a single kick.
English who debuted as a 15 year old has trouble recalling how many of those he played but can at least bask in the memories of their crown in 2003. His return to the side currently sitting equal second, is hoped to provide the boost the Cutters need to win another title.
