The Casey Scorpions will be raising money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation during its match against Geelong at Casey Fields on Saturday at 2pm.
Casey’s fundraising efforts for the NBCF began in 2007 as a brunch and the club’s Pink Ribbon Day is now one of its major events.
This year, the day includes a luncheon featuring a guest speaker from the NBCF, as well as raffles and auctions.
Casey players will also wear pink jumpers donated by CGR Sportswear for the game, a tradition started in 2009.
Fundraising activities will be taking place around the ground and the Victorian Women’s FL match between Cranbourne and Knox will be played as a curtain-raiser to the Scorpions-Cats clash at 11.25am.
Casey has raised $100,000 for the NBCF since 2007 and is aiming to raise $20,000 this year.
