Please note that the current Football Operations Manager of AFL Sydney Matthew Graham has recently been promoted to a new role in AFL NSW/ACT. Matt’s new role will be the NSW/ACT Facilities Manager where he will be working with Infrastructure Planning Manager David Lawson.
Given the timing of this appointment, and the fact that it is an internal move within the AFL, Matt will combine some duties from his new role while also continuing to work on AFL Sydney operations for the foreseeable future, with the ongoing assistance of Scott Burkinshaw. Following the appointment of a new Football Operations Manager, Matt will assist with the training of the new person and complete the transition to his new role in full, which we anticipate to occur around the end of the season.
Matt will continue to be a key contact for all Sydney clubs as we continue to work on improving our access to, and quality of the football facilities across the city.
