Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) CPC40110 & Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety BSB41415
Builders Academy Australia (BAA) part of the Simonds Group is a registered training organisation. BAA is currently partnering with the Pakenham Football Club and promoting training opportunities to players, members and their family and friends. BAA found that the players, members and supporters of local football, have a strong trade background and it is these individuals that are the perfect candidates for their courses (if they meet our minimum course entry requirements).
This dual program runs two nights a week from 6pm-9:30pm for 25 weeks. The course will be based within the club rooms of Pakenham FC.
This program will see that participants gain the skills to manage a building project from start to finish. It is great for people that aspire to take on supervisory roles such as;
- construction project supervisor
- construction planner
- construction co-ordinator or
- construction manager.
Participants may use the Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) qualification in their application to the Building Practitioners Board to become a licensed builder (along with the other documentation required).
The Certificate IV in WHS will help participants gain the underpinning knowledge required to assist in managing WHS/OHS within the workplace. It will prepare you to implement and monitor risk prevention measures, respond to emergencies, and evaluate policies and procedures. The completion of the Cert IV in Work Health and Safety will see participants qualified as WHS Officers.
Minimum course entry requirements
The program does not cost the participant any money if they qualify for government funding. In order to qualify, they must:
- not hold or have completed a qualification at a Cert 4 level or higher
- be an Australia citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen
- not be undertaking more than two courses in one calendar year.
All participants doing this program must hold a trade qualification or have a minimum of 3 years Australian building and construction experience.
