Analysis:
It probably is no surprise that the resurgence of the Western Wolves in the Women’s Division One competition this year coincides with the great goal kicking form of their key forward Kate Lawson.

A perennial League Best & Fairest vote getter, Lawson currently leads the goal kicking tally with an impressive 12 goals from 5 games and is the key target for the Wolves up forward.

A member of the successful AFL Sydney representative team in the Game 1 of the 2014 series, Lawson finished last year with an impressive tally of 21 goals for her side.

Named an impressive 14 times in the best at club level last year, Lawson finished 5th in the League Best and Fairest with 13 votes to back up her 10 vote, equal 6th position in 2013.

The Wolves look like a real premiership contender this year and will need Lawson firing in finals to claim the ultimate prize.
