Congratulations go to Matty Caraffa from the Shepparton Football Netball Club who is the GOTAFE GVFL Volunteer of the Month (April).
Matty joined the SFNC in the earlier 90's when his now Son in Law Glen Archer was a player at our club.
Matty's commitment to the club is outstanding with him not missing a training session from pre-season training during the summer months through to the very cold winter months throughout the season. Matty and Ron Scott make sure each training session the water bottles are always kept full for players and any other chore that needs attending too on training nights and game days.
When the water is all in hand you will then find Matty working in the BBQ at Home Games.
Every away game Matty will be at the rooms at 8am helping the trainers to connect the trainers trailer and loading the trailer up then joining the trainers for the road trip.
You will also find Matty helping Ang with the Thursday night teas and then partaking in a well-earned glass of red with his meal.
There is a great family connection like all clubs and Matty's daughter Leeanne Archer is the club secretary and a tireless worker for the Shepparton Football Netball Club along with his Son In Law Glen Archer who acts as fitness advisor for the playing group.
The amount of hours Matt volunteers to the club is outstanding and very much appreciated by all footballers, Netballers, supporters and committee and the GOTAFE GVFL Board, Staff and clubs would like to Congratulate Matty for being Aprils GOTAFE GVFL Volunteer of the Month.
If you wish to nominate a volunteer for the GOTAFE GVFL Volunteer of the Month please email simon.devine@aflgoulburnmurray.com.au and outline why the volunteer deserves their nomination.
