Werribee has cliamed top spot on the VFL ladder with a thrilling 2-point win over western rival Williamstown, while Collingwood also won a thriller against Richmond. Sandringham was the only team with a convincing win on the Sunday, running away from Frankston after quarter time.

Telling facts: Werribee broke a 12 game losing streak against Williamstown, holding on in the final term for a 2-point win. The win was the Tigers fourth in a row, and was the Seagulls second 2-point loss in a row. Werribee now moves to outright top spot after their first win against Seagulls since 2008.

COLLINGWOOD d RICHMOND

Telling facts: Collingwood led by 32 points midway through the second term, after kicking six unanswered goals. Then it was Richmond’s turn, kicking five unanswered goals in the third to steal the lead back. After four final term lead changes Collingwood steadied through captain Jack Hellier to record back to back wins. home.

SANDRINGHAM d FRANKSTON
Margin: 75 points
Telling facts: After an even first term, Sandringham kicked away in the second with five unanswered goals. Accuracy was the key early for the Zebras kicking seven straight before their first blemish. Four first half goals to Ahmed Saad helped set up the win.
