The Round 4 Women's Rising Star nominee is Narmeen Mohamed of Auburn Giants.
Narmeen has had an outstanding start to her football career with excellent performances in both games played to start the 2015 season.
At 19 years of age, she has sporting experience in the various rugby codes, playing union at a high level. Keen to attempt a new challenge, she made the move to football in the pre-season and hasn't looked back.
Narmeen has a fearless attack on the ball and is unbeatable in the air, out marking much taller opponents. Her tackles look effortless, yet crushing and she dominates clearances with her ability to read the play.
Narmeen's defensive pressure, which has seen her make over 20 tackles in both and force many turnovers, ensures Auburn maintain possession of the football. Her transitional play is second to none, with most of her rebounds from the backline leading to inside 50s.
Narmeen has also come to understand the value of 1%ers in football, with prolific shepherding that facilitated numerous passages of play for our offence. She's is genuinely a team player with prodigious football abilities.
Narmeen's excellence has also been recognised by her teammates, being voted the players’ player for round one and we suspect she will consistently feature in best on ground votes.
