The AFL Sydney Round 5 Rising Star nominee is Allister Clarke of Sydney University.
Allister Clarke is a young man from Finley in the Murray region of NSW. Allister represented the Murray Bushrangers in the TAC cup on 8 occasions last year twice being recognised in the best 6.
Allister has moved up to Sydney to commence his Agriculture degree at Sydney Uni and continue his elite AFL development. He was selected as part of the SUANFC NEAFL rookie list this year as well as a member of the SUANFC Elite Development Squad.
This year Allister has been training extremely hard and certainly does not leave anything on the field. He has been rewarded with two call ups to the GWS NEAFL side this year and has impressed with his professionalism and eagerness to always learn. While waiting for his first SUANFC NEAFL call up, Allister has been playing in the Sydney Uni Prem Div side. Allister skills are extremely silky and his attack on the footy makes him a perfect small defender with the ability to hurt his opponent on the rebound.
We are sure Allister’s NEAFL debut is not far away!
