Moreton Bay United FC Women’s coach Lorna Dent has stepped down from her role, the club has announced.
A statement released by the club cited increased work commitments outside of football as the reason for Dent’s departure.
Jets' Technical Director Salvatore Sottile has taken over coaching the Senior Women's side in the interim and will be assisted by other members of the club’s coaching staff.
Jets Women have struggled for form in their first PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland campaign and are still searching for their first win of 2015 after seven matches.
Dent explained that she was no longer able to provide the commitment required to guide the team in their foundation year.
"My work has taken a new direction and this involves more evening and weekend work. I would have to miss training sessions and some games,” she said.
“I didn't feel this was fair on the girls. They need someone who is there for them all the time. So I only had one choice. I wish them all the very best."
Frank Heim, Chairman of Moreton Bay United, said,"We would like to thank Lorna for her hard work and effort as the foundation coach of Jets' Senior Women's team."
