The Roo's started all guns blazing completely destroying the South Toowoomba Bombers to the tune of 128 points. While the Saints battled hard for the 4 points against a resurgent Lockyer Valley Demons to win by 27 points.
This is the second game in a row where the Saints have had to travel. They will be looking to keep their momentum up for the 2015 season. After falling short in the 2014 Grand final they will be hell bent on redemption. The Saints play an attacking style of footy with their powerful midfield able to get onto long chains of ball movement to kick goals. Adam Bowater was named best last week and the Roos will need to shut down the inspirational skipper. They will also have to watch out for Brad Edwards who will drift forward and loves to kick a goal. However for all their midfield dominance it was there defence that won the game for them last time around. After half time they only conceded 11 points to give themselves the victory.
The Roos started in sensational fashion running hard through the midfield and looking to create space for the forwards to lead into. The Roo's will look to Chris Jackson to kick another bag for them up in the forward line. They play a fast game and will want to that to continue against the Saints. The Roos are built with a wonderful mix of youth and experience to dictate how they want to play. The experience men get the ball onto the outside for their young counter parts to get onto their bikes and run. Look for this to continue as they look to open up the defence of the Saints.
Both teams will be confident of the win and this looks set to be a cracker of a match.
They have only played each other twice and both times the visiting team has come out on top. Can the Roos be the first to win at home or will the Saints continue the trend? Get down to Gold Park and watch the action unfold at 2pm.
