Round 1 winners Coolaroo, University, Lockyer Valley, Toowoomba and Dalby have all started the season in the best possible way.
Coolaroo and Souths played out an old fashioned grudge match with neither team able to get way with a big lead. The Roo's set their victory up in the first quater kicking 3 goals to zero to give themsleves a handy 19 point lead. Souths came back hard over the next three quaters. However in the end 2 goals from Lachlan Reid was the difference as they won by a close 8 points.
Defending champions University brought there form from 2014 into 2015 as they ran the Lions ragged. 8 goals straight in the first quater allowed them to cruise to victory. In the end there spread of 15 different goal kickers was too much for the Lions defence. Nicholas Powell was the big target upforward kicking a game high 4 goals to set up victory. They ran out 166 point winners.
The Demons and the Redbacks played out a classic game. Both teams went into the half with the belief they could win the match, however the Demons came out more hungry as they kicked 5 goals in the second half to run away 32 point winners. Ethan Shipston dominated to kick 4 goals to be the difference in the match.
The Toowoomba Tigers started the season very strong and sent a clear message that they want to win the Premiership in 2015. They were far to strong from the outset kicking 4 goals in the first quater keeping the Hawks scoreless. The Hawks nevr stopped trying though. Caleb was instrumental for the Tigers kicking 3 goals and named Best on Ground. The Tigers won by 92 points.
In the battle of the West both the Swans and the Suns never stop playing. Both team lift for the match agaisnt each other. The Swans defence was superb never giving the Suns a sniff to score. They were led to victory by 8 goals to Tim Mauch. The Swans ran out 107 point winners in the Battle of West.
