The GOTAFE Goulburn Valley Football League last week put pen to paper on two media deals for season 2015.
The relationship the GOTAFE GVFL has had with One FM over many years enabled the deal to be fast tracked to ensure that the season gets underway without any concerns.
GOTAFE GVFL Chairman David Roff is excited about the continued relationship with One FM. “One FM has been a great broadcast partner on match day and we are looking forward to continuing to support each other throughout season 2015”.
“The deal has seen an increase in the number of games being broadcast for the GOTAFE GVFL which is great for the exposure of the league and clubs across the region”.
“The deal has allowed for us to continue the Saturday Morning show (including u18s and netball), and also do an hour pregame show before any live broadcast. This pregame show will enable a good build up to not only the “match of the round” but also other matches being played in the region”
ONE FM Sports Director Jason Welsh is excited for what the year holds “We had to work fast to get the contract negotiated with Simon Devine coming on board late January and we are excited with what the season holds” Welsh said.
“We are looking forward to providing the best coverage and analysis of the GOTAFE GVFL that the region has ever seen”
The GOTAFE GVFL Footy Show has also been re-signed for another season with some additions on the show to keep fans engaged.
League Operations Manager Simon Devine is excited at the potential the Footy Show presents. “With mobile devices now becoming the norm the opportunity to reach our fans and supporters is infinite”.
“The GOTAFE GVFL Footy Show offers an insight into clubs, coaches, and players which brings all fans closer to the game”
“I’m interested to see how the season pans out with the Footy Show and who knows maybe we will see it being hosted at one of the 12 clubs one night”
GOTAFE GVFL Footy Show host (and GOTAFE GVFL Board Member) David Fox was coy about what’s in store for the footy show in season 2015. “We have a new personality on board for this season, but any other changes well you will have to wait and see”.
David Roff is also excited the opportunity the two media streams present to promote the league. “To have both ONE FM and the Footy Show working together will enable a better delivery of the GOTAFE GVFL to fans which means clubs will benefit from the exposure”.
