On the 24th of March, 60 Auskick kids from Forest Hill, St Mary's Laidley and Lockyer Valley AFC Auskick Centre came into Cahill Park for the Lockyer Valley Auskick Gala Day. The kids were treated to some amazing Auskick games and challenges.
The kids were split into 4 age groups as they rotated through Agility goals, Handball Targets, tackiling Frank the Tank and the all time Favourite Speccie Machine.
The kids were having a great time with lots of laughter and AFL Auskick skills on show. All the kids loved the Speccie machine with laughter and squels ringing around Cahill Park.
Massive thank you to the NAB branches in Laidley and Gatton who volunteered some of their ladies to come down and promote their great work they do in the community and give out heaps of awesome prizes. The inflatable footies and NAB blow up fingers were the favourite prizes for the kids.
However the greatest game for any kid is bomb the parents. A huge game of bomb the parents was played. All 60 kids lined up on the line and had just as many parents out the front to try and bomb. They were very lucky to also have special quest Captain NAB who volunteered to dance out the front and get bombed. Every single kid was able to hit atleast one "target".
The Lockyer Valley Demons put on a sausage sizzle to feed all the hungry and excited Auskickers.
It was a massive afternoon but all the kids, parents, Frank the Tank, volunteers and Captain NAB had heaps of fun and left very happy and excited with all there prizes and there free sausage sizzle.
A fantastic afternnon was had by all.
