An U16 Peninsula Saints outfit will travel to Wellington over the Anzac weekend to play 2 matches against the New Zealand national U16 team. The matches will be played around the St Kilda v Carlton Anzac Day clash also being played in Wellington.
The Peninsula Saints will be made up of U16 players from the FDJFL and MPJFL, which each club within the respective leagues able to nominate one player to join the team. Additional invitations may be made depending upon any clubs that pass on this opportunity.
The side will be coached by the MPJFL's Andrew Souter and will play matches on Friday April 24 and Sunday April 26 at Wellington's Hutt Park. The players will also assist with on-ground activities during the St Kilda-Carlton match and assist with the St Kilda superclinic on the Sunday morning.
Nomination forms will be sent to clubs next week and team preparations for the tour will begin in March.
