SANFL WOMEN’S ELITE PLAYER PATHWAY
ALL STARS TRIALS
Trials are open to all Women aged 17+
You must attend All Stars Trials to be considered for selection for the 2015 Women’s State Team.

Trial #1
Thursday 5th March | Registration 5:30pm onwards
Registration @ Gate 10, AAMI Stadium
Training @ 6:30pm, AFC indoor facility & Max Basheer Reserve
- You will need to register prior to the session. Registration will involve completing a registration form, and trying on apparel sizes in Changeroom 5.
- The session will begin at 6:30pm around the other side of AAMI Stadium at the Adelaide Football Club indoor training facility. No one is to enter prior to 6:30pm due to the AFC players using the facilities.
- The session will take place inside the AFC facilities as well as on the first part of Max Basheer Reserve. Please take note that the Adelaide Football Club reserves will be playing a trial game on the main oval of Max Basheer Reserve while we are training.
- Parking can be found in the bus terminal off West Lakes Boulevard, or on the pavement surrounding the Stadium
Trial #2
Sunday 15th March | Registration 9am onwards
Registration only for those whole don’t attend first trial
Training @ 9:30am, West Adelaide Football Club
- You will need to register prior to the session if you were unable to attend the first training session. Please note that apparel sizings will only be available at the first session.
- The session will begin at 9:30am. The changerooms will be open from 8:45am onwards.
- Parking can be found in the carpark area
You must attend All Stars Trials to be considered for selection for the 2015 Women’s State Team.
ALL STARS GAME
44 players will be selected from All Stars Trials. Two teams will be formed to play on Saturday 18th April at Adelaide Oval as a curtain raiser to the Adelaide FC v Melbourne FC Round 3 AFL Match (TBC).
STATE TEAM
23 players will be selected from those playing in the All Stars Game. They will travel to Darwin to play North Territory on 16th May.
AFL DRAFT
You must nominate to be eligible to be drafted by the Melbourne FC or Western Bulldogs FC for the AFL Women’s Exhibition Game. The draft will be held on 20th April. There will be 16 players drafted from around Australia, plus one emergency.
To nominate for the AFL Women’s Draft you MUST nominate online via www.womensdraft.afl.com.au by Friday 27th February. You will not be considered for the draft if you do not nominate via the link, or play in the All Stars Game.
AFL WOMEN’S EXHIBITION GAME
First Game: Melbourne FC v Western Bulldogs FC at the MCG on 24th May.
Second Game: Western Bulldogs FC v Melbourne FC at Etihad Stadium on 16th August.
This game will include the players contracted from 2014 or drafted on 20th April.
The most important aspects to remember are;
• You MUST attend the All Stars Trials to be eligible for selection for the All Stars Game.
• You can NOT be selected for the State Team if you do not play in the All Stars Game.
• For those wishing to nominate for the AFL Women’s Draft, you MUST nominate online via www.womensdraft.afl.com.au by Friday 27th February. You will not be considered for the draft if you do not nominate via the link, or play in the All Stars Game.
