The SANFL are recruiting the full time position of Development Coordinator working from South Adelaide
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual to join the SANFL in the role of Development Coordinator.
Reporting to the Manager - Development & Participation, the Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing participation based programs, coaching programs and affiliated leagues programs across the South Adelaide Football Club zone. These programs aim to increase participation within the sport and to improve the quality of coaches, administrators and volunteers. The role is responsible for the following:
- Promoting and delivering participation programs (including Auskick) and coach education programs in schools and clubs
- Strengthening relationships with, and servicing key stakeholders to support delivery of quality programs and achievement of participation outcomes
- Identifying and retaining key school ambassadors and volunteers
- Facilitating the implementation and delivery of Community Football League strategic plans, programs and events, to local Leagues and Clubs
This is a hands-on role for an individual seeking career progression in the sporting industry. It is expected that candidates will demonstrate:
- Experience and success working in the sporting industry
- A broad understanding of the game of Australian Football at all levels, including player pathways
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including volunteer networks
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing ability
- Ability to work autonomously, self-driven and outcomes focused
- Strong administration and planning experience
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and oral
Candidates are also required to provide current (within 3 months) National Police and Working with Children Clearances and a current Drivers Licence.
