A former player, coach and committee member of the SAWFL, Cheryl Wills, will be taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave on 14th March 2015. Cheryl will also be donating her hair for the use of wigs for people who are going through treatment.
Cheryl is doing this in honour of Carmel Laube, who she was fortunate enough to know and play alongside before she sadly passed away from Leukaemia.
Many members of the League may know Cheryl, who has been involved with the SAWFL since its inaugural season. Likewise, many of you may fondly remember Carmel for her time and contribution to the League, or recognise her name from the SAWFL Carmel Laube Medal for Players’ Player, which is named in her memory.
If any SAWFL clubs, teams or members would like to support Cheryl in the World’s Greatest Shave, please visit her fundraising page at http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/cherylwills
Your donation will support the Leukaemia Foundation's work in providing practical and emotional support to people facing the challenge of blood cancer, as well as investing in vital research to find better treatments and cures.
We commend Cheryl for her fundraising efforts and wish her all the best in the World’s Greatest Shave on 14th March!
