Happy Ending For Kitching

Western Pride's Jay Kitching is thankful for the support he received after being reunited with his grandfather’s Socceroos cap stolen last week.
The Queensland football community, social media and traditional media outlets rallied to assist Kitching after news broke that the cap had been stolen from his house during a break-in.
Ultimately it was old-fashioned police work that reunited Kitching with the treasured family heirloom, which was earned by 1950’s Socceroos representative Col Kitching, after police raided a nearby property on the weekend.
Kitching thanked all those that supported his quest to have the cap returned and thanked police for their efforts.
“Thanks to everyone that shared the photo on Facebook and thanks especially to the Ipswich police, Queensland Times and Football Queensland for keeping the story out there,” Kitching said.
Kitching added that the piece-of-mind following the cap's return will help him as he continues to prepare for Pride’s 2015 campaign.
“My mind is firmly on my football now,” he concluded.
