10- Ben Collins; Ben won his nomination after a Manly bus trip back home after an away match was delayed for over an hour. The delay was due to negotiations with Ben to scull two beers. What inflamed the situation was that none of his teammates were allowed to have drinks till he did it. Rumour has it there is some disharmony in the GIANTS den after this event.
9- Yannick Milligan-Saville; Sheer quantity won Yannick his position in the top 10. He had a highly publicised bromance with Western Suburbs’ teammate, Matthew Lemme. He was also spotted on a yoghurt date one night with his girlfriend, and didn’t attend a training session one time and instead was spotted holding hands with his girlfriend on the ‘bay run’. If you look up part-time footballer in the Oxford Dictionary, you would be sure to find a picture of Yannick.
8- Dean Ipaviz; Anyone who can get a Cleo Bachelor of the Year nomination earns a position in the Top 10 from Danny. In other words, Danny is distraught he didn’t earn a call-up. His nomination read; “He's confident, well groomed and well-travelled; A chippie with a business head and a born leader with the humility and appeal of the everyday Aussie.” What sealed the deal was that Dean was spotted at a Bondi newsagency offering up autographed copies of the Cleo magazine featuring his nomination.
7- Alex Goodall; Partially due to his Phelan Medal, but more importantly due to his contribution in opposition analysis for Pennant Hills. One particular day in Pennant Hills pre-game chat, senior coach Chris Yard asked certain players what they think key opposition players are like, how they play etc etc and he always phrases it "So what does he do?" He asked Cheese and he said "I think he works in retail." Classic!
6- Anthony Robertson; It was a sporadic year for the star GIANT mainly due to injury. He did however have an unusual reason for missing the Premier Division clash against Pennant Hills second-up after a returning from a broken leg. Opposition clubs may have assumed that the leg didn’t pull up well after his first up hit out however it can be revealed that he missed the weekends football as he was interstate DJing at his niece’s 5th birthday party.
