AFL NSW/ACT is currently seeking to appoint two Regional Program Leaders on a casual basis. One will be responsible for the Sydney South region, and the other will be responsible for the Sydney City region.
The Regional Program Leaders are responsible for supporting the Development Coordinator to achieve regional KPI’s. You will work approximately 20 hrs per week and play an important role in the efficient functioning of the region. Primarily the work hours will be in the 9am-5pm bracket with some weekend work at times required.
The role may include but is not limited to the following:
• As Program Leader you will take full responsibility for the delivery of programs and lead Program Assistants in delivering AFL programs in a professional and enthusiastic manner in a range of programs within AFL NSW ACT including AFL Auskick, intra school programs and inter district competitions.
• As the face of AFL programs in NSW ACT you will be responsible for building positive relationships and representing the game to improve knowledge of and participation in AFL.
• Key administrative tasks supporting regional growth in Auskick, School and club football and the transition of participants
We seek a self motivated individual with:
• NSW or ACT Driver’s License and transport
• NSW or ACT working with Children check or ability to acquire one
• Demonstrated knowledge and interest in Australian football
• Experience in working with primary school age children
• Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised, while leading junior staff
• Well developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
